In military and civil logistics, dispositionering refers to deciding how to distribute resources to meet priorities and timelines.

In practice, dispositionering involves translating strategic goals into concrete allocations. In a military setting, it describes how forces and equipment are positioned and distributed across a theater or sector to achieve defensive or offensive objectives. In civilian administration and business, it can refer to allocating funds, personnel, or materials to projects, departments, or locations, as well as arranging the use of facilities or time.

It is related to, and sometimes interchangeable with, disponera or distribution, allocation, and deployment. The nuance mainly concerns the deliberate arrangement of elements to achieve a planned outcome, rather than merely using resources as they arise.
