DKanals

DKanals is an open-source data integration and workflow platform that models data flows as configurable canals connecting diverse data sources to storage and analytics destinations. The system emphasizes a visual pipeline design, reproducible deployments, and observable operations, making it suitable for data engineering teams managing complex ETL and ELT processes.

The platform supports batch and streaming data, with a modular architecture that allows adding new connectors, transformations, and delivery targets via plugin modules. Pipelines can be versioned, tested, and deployed across environments, with metadata and lineage captured to support governance.

DKanals began as a hobby project in 2019 by a group of developers seeking a more intuitive alternative to traditional ETL tools. At its core is a lightweight execution engine that schedules and runs pipelines.
