Czterolatki

Czterolatki (Polish: children aged four years) denotes a developmental stage in early childhood characterized by rapid growth in motor skills, language, cognition and social behavior. The term is commonly used in Poland to refer both to the age group and to programs or groups organized for children of that age in preschools and early childhood settings.

Typical developmental features among czterolatki include improved gross motor abilities (running, jumping, climbing) and finer manual control (drawing basic shapes, using child-safe scissors). Language skills expand rapidly: many four-year-olds use more complex sentences, tell simple stories and engage in imaginative play. Cognitive gains support basic counting, sorting and following multi-step instructions.
