Cortexbes

Cortex-Bus is a multiprocessor architecture and peripheral bus used in conjunction with the Texas Instruments (TI) TMS320C6x floating-point DSPs. It is an open 64-bit multiprocessor bus system announced in 2000.

The Cortex-Bus architecture is designed for use in multiprocessor systems, and allows for the interconnection of multiple CPU cores, as well as the connection of peripheral control units to the CPU core. It provides a unified memory space, enabling processors to access each other's memory. The bus operates at clock speeds up to 1 GHz and is capable of supporting up to 24 bits of parallel bus data.

The main features of the Cortex-Bus include a high degree of flexibility and scalability, allowing for the easy integration of additional processors or peripherals as needed. The bus is also designed for compatibility with existing TMS320 processors, making it a drop-in replacement for many existing systems.

Cortex-Bus was first announced in 2000 by Texas Instruments, and has since been used in a wide range of applications including telecommunications, automotive, and medical imaging. It is often used in conjunction with other Texas Instruments technologies such as the eXtremeDSP programmable real-time processing platform.
