Management and performance: intralogistics is overseen by logistics or operations managers, with KPIs such as throughput, inventory accuracy, cycle time, on-time and in-full delivery, cost per unit, and safety.

Technology and trends: integration with ERP and WMS/WCS/MES, automation, and the Internet of Things are common. Analytics, digital twins, and AI support routing and scheduling, while sustainability efforts focus on energy efficiency and waste reduction.
