Chaos;Child is a visual novel developed by 5pb. and Mages, serving as a sequel to Chaos;Head. It was released in Japan for the Xbox One in 2014, with subsequent ports to PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Windows. The story takes place in Shibuya, Tokyo, six years after the events of Chaos;Head, during the aftermath of a devastating earthquake.

The protagonist is Takuru Miyashiro, a high school student who is the president of the school's newspaper club. He becomes entangled in a series of bizarre and gruesome murders that mirror events from a series of incidents that occurred years prior, known as the "New Generation Madness." As Takuru and his friends investigate, they uncover a deeper conspiracy involving delusions, the digital world, and the true nature of reality.

Chaos;Child utilizes a delusion system similar to its predecessor, where the player's choices influence the protagonist's perception of reality, leading to different story paths and endings. The game explores themes of trauma, memory, societal breakdown, and the subjective nature of truth. Critical reception for Chaos;Child has generally been positive, praising its complex narrative, character development, and atmospheric presentation, though some found its plot to be convoluted at times. An anime adaptation of the visual novel also premiered in 2017.
