Chamaedorea

Chamaedorea is a genus of about 100-120 species of small to medium-sized palms, belonging to the family Arecaceae. These palms are native to the tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, ranging from southern Mexico and Central America down to South America. The genus is characterized by its slender, often segmented stems and pinnate leaves.

Many Chamaedorea species are popular as houseplants due to their adaptability to indoor conditions, tolerance of low light, and relatively slow growth.
