Buragohain
Buragohain is a prominent and hereditary title in the Ahom kingdom of Assam, India. The position of Buragohain was one of the highest offices in the Ahom administration, second only to the king (Swar Ali). The Buragohain was responsible for overseeing the civil administration, judiciary, and revenue collection of the kingdom. They also held significant military command and often led armies in battle.
