Brückenvenenriss
Brückenvenenriss, also known as varicose veins, is a condition characterized by the enlargement and twisting of the veins, typically in the legs. This condition is often caused by weakened valves in the veins, which allow blood to flow backward instead of forward. The most common symptoms include pain, swelling, and a feeling of heaviness in the affected area. Brückenvenenriss can be classified into two main types: primary (idiopathic) and secondary. Primary varicose veins develop without an apparent cause, while secondary varicose veins are the result of another medical condition, such as pregnancy, obesity, or prolonged standing.
Diagnosis of Brückenvenenriss usually involves a physical examination and imaging tests like ultrasound or duplex scanning.
Prevention strategies include maintaining a healthy weight, regular exercise, avoiding prolonged standing, and elevating the legs
