Bottoni

Bottoni is the Italian term for buttons, the small fasteners used to join two pieces of fabric or to decorate clothing. The plural bottoni refers to multiple buttons, while the singular form is bottone. In Italian, bottoni can be functional elements on garments or ornamental accents.

Buttons come in several designs. The primary fastening type is sew-through, with two or four holes that secure the button to fabric with thread. There are also shank buttons that have a hollow loop on the back to create a small gap between the button and the material. Decorative buttons may be flat or raised and can feature engravings, logos, inlays, or special finishes.
