BootAnalyse

BootAnalyse is a software tool for examining and optimizing the boot process of computer systems. It collects boot-time events, logs, and telemetry to produce objective measurements and recommendations for reducing startup duration and improving reliability.

The tool supports multiple operating environments by integrating with native boot loggers and tracing facilities such as Windows Event Tracing, Windows Performance Recorder, Linux systemd utilities, and macOS launchd logs. It ingests data from kernel messages, service managers, and firmware events to build a coherent timeline of the boot sequence.

Key features include a timeline visualization of boot stages, bottleneck detection, per-component analysis (drivers, services, and mount operations), cross-reboot comparisons, and report generation. It can quantify contributions to total boot time, identify services that delay startup, and propose optimization steps.
