Beutevulnerabilität refers to the susceptibility of prey animals to predation. It encompasses a range of factors that increase a prey animal's risk of being caught and killed by a predator. These factors can be inherent to the prey species, such as its physical characteristics, behavioral patterns, or physiological state, or they can be related to environmental conditions.

Physical characteristics that contribute to beutevulnerabilität include lack of speed, poor camouflage, small size, or the absence of effective defenses like horns or venom.
