Bestäuber

Bestäuber are organisms that facilitate pollination, the transfer of pollen from the male part of a flower to the female part, enabling fertilization and the production of seeds and fruits. This process is vital for the reproduction of many flowering plants, including a significant portion of the world's food crops.

The most well-known bestäuber are insects, with bees, particularly honey bees and bumblebees, playing a crucial role. Butterflies, moths, flies, and beetles also contribute to pollination. Conservation efforts focus on protecting and restoring habitats, reducing pesticide exposure, and promoting sustainable agricultural practices to support bestäuber populations.
