BTS

BTS is a South Korean boy band formed in Seoul by Big Hit Entertainment. The group consists of seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The name BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan in Korean, which translates as Bulletproof Boy Scouts; in 2017 the group also embraced the expanded meaning Beyond the Scene to reflect its artistic evolution. BTS's music blends K-pop with hip hop, pop, and R&B, and their work often addresses themes such as identity, social commentary, and mental health. They gained a global following through active use of social media and video platforms, cultivating a large international fan base known as the ARMY.
