Koreans
Koreans are an East Asian ethnic group native to the Korean Peninsula, which is divided politically into the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea). In addition to residents of these states, a large global diaspora comprises descendants living in North America, Europe, China, Japan, and other regions. Estimates place the ethnolinguistic Koreans at about 75 to 80 million people worldwide, with roughly 51 million in South Korea and about 25 million in North Korea.
