It is typically entered by pressing a specific key, such as Delete, F2, or F10, immediately after powering on the system. This utility allows users to modify hardware settings and boot order before the operating system loads.

Within BIOSSetup, users can adjust various parameters including system time and date, enable or disable integrated hardware components like sound cards or USB ports, and configure advanced CPU settings. A crucial function of BIOSSetup is setting the boot sequence, which determines the order in which the computer checks for bootable devices, such as hard drives, CD-ROM drives, or USB drives.
