Avrupac is a constructed language created as a pan-European auxiliary language for speculative fiction and linguistic experimentation. It is a fictional project and not an official language of any country. The name evokes European roots while signaling a neutral, accessible design for diverse speakers.

Phonology uses a Latin script with five vowels and a broad set of consonants common across European languages. Syllables are typically CV or CVC, and stress falls on the penultimate syllable. The orthography is near-phonemic to facilitate straightforward pronunciation.

Grammar emphasizes regularity and learnability. The basic word order is subject–verb–object. Nouns form plurals with the suffix -s; there is no grammatical gender. A definite article la precedes nouns; indefinite references rely on context rather than gendered forms. Verbs do not conjugate for person or number; tense and aspect are conveyed by particles, with ha marking past and va marking future. Negation uses non before the verb. Adjectives generally follow the noun and agree in number via the plural suffix.

Lexicon blends roots from Romance, Germanic, and Slavic sources, augmented by systematic coinages for modern concepts. New terms are created with common derivational affixes and productive compounding to maintain a cohesive European flavor while remaining recognizably neutral across language backgrounds.

Usage and reception: Avrupac appears in conlang communities and speculative fiction discussions, serving as a case study in multilingual communication. It has a modest online learning presence but limited real-world adoption. Critics point to potential gaps in expressiveness and the risk of Eurocentrism in a pan-European design.
