AvdanOS
AvdanOS is a free, open-source, Unix-like operating system focused on simplicity and modularity for desktops, laptops, and embedded devices. The project aims to provide a cohesive, secure, and easy-to-use platform while remaining portable across architectures. AvdanOS was initiated by Avdan Technologies in 2022 with a goal of delivering a lightweight alternative to larger distributions. The core is a modular kernel with a traditional monolithic design and a capability-based security model, offering support for x86-64 and ARM64, with ongoing experimental ports to RISC-V.
