ArtNetSACN
ArtNetSACN is a software utility designed to bridge the gap between two popular lighting control protocols: Art-Net and sACN (Streaming ACN). These protocols are commonly used in professional entertainment lighting to transmit DMX data wirelessly or over networks. ArtNetSACN allows users to convert data from one protocol to the other, enabling interoperability between different lighting systems and consoles. For example, a lighting desk that outputs Art-Net data can be used to control fixtures that are addressed via sACN, or vice-versa. The software typically runs on a computer and acts as a server or listener, receiving data on one protocol and retransmitting it on the other. It often provides configuration options for IP addresses, subnet masks, and port numbers to ensure proper network communication. This type of tool is invaluable for system integrators and lighting designers working with diverse hardware setups, simplifying the process of integrating disparate lighting equipment and achieving seamless control.
