Antoku
Antoku (安徳天皇, 1178–1185) was the 81st emperor of Japan, reigning from 1180 until his death in 1185 during the late Heian period. He ascended the throne after Emperor Takakura abdicated in 1180 in favor of the infant Antoku. He was the son of Emperor Takakura and Taira no Tokiko, a member of the powerful Taira clan.
