Anbringa

Anbringa is a fictional town in the Valerian Highlands, part of the imaginary country of Norelia. It is described as a small rural municipality with a long history and a mixed economy, serving as a local hub for surrounding villages.

It lies on a gentle plateau at about 520 meters above sea level, with oak forests to the north and the Anbra River to the east. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and warm summers.

Historically, Anbringa began as a mining outpost in the 12th century and gradually developed into an agricultural community. It received municipal rights in 1838 and has preserved several historic buildings while expanding modern services.

The fictional census lists about 4,200 residents. The population is predominantly Valeron with minority communities; languages include Valeron and a local dialect. The economy relies on farming, forestry, and crafts, with growing tourism focused on the historic center.

Anbringa is governed by a town council elected every four years and is part of the Valerian regional administration. It is connected by regional roads and a daily intercity bus; the nearest rail station is 15 kilometers away, and there is no airport.

Notable sites include St. Martin's Church, a timber-framed building dating to the 16th century, and the Anbringa Orchard, known for heirloom apples. The annual Harvest Festival is a key local event.
