Allergény
Allergény refers to an abnormal response of the immune system to substances that are typically harmless. These substances, known as allergens, can trigger a variety of symptoms ranging from mild irritation to severe reactions. Common allergens include pollen, dust mites, certain foods, insect stings, medications, and pet dander. When an individual with an allergy encounters an allergen, their immune system mistakenly identifies it as a threat and produces antibodies called Immunoglobulin E (IgE), which then release chemicals like histamine to defend against the allergen.
