Aisin

Aisin, formally Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd., is a Japanese multinational automotive parts manufacturer. It is part of the Aisin Group and a longtime supplier to the Toyota Group; it ranks among the world's largest automotive component manufacturers by revenue and production capacity.

The company was established in 1949 in Japan as a maker of transmissions and other mechanical components. It grew through expansion of product lines and international manufacturing, becoming a global supplier to automakers beyond Toyota.

Aisin's products include automatic transmissions and CVTs, transfer cases, driveline components, brake systems, steering and suspension parts, engine components, seals, gaskets, bearings, and electronic modules. The company operates manufacturing plants, engineering centers, and distribution networks across Asia, the Americas, and Europe, serving automakers and aftermarket customers.

It is a listed company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and forms part of the Toyota-linked supplier network known as the Aisin Group. The group includes numerous subsidiaries focused on specific product areas such as transmissions (notably Aisin AW), while the parent company maintains an integrated role in product development and global supply. The company has pursued expansion through joint ventures, foreign production bases, and research and development in electrification and advanced driver-assistance systems.
