Aeolosaurini

Aeolosaurini is a tribe of titanosaurian sauropod dinosaurs that lived in South America during the Late Cretaceous epoch. They are characterized by their relatively small size compared to other titanosaurs, with most species estimated to be around 6 to 10 meters in length. Aeolosaurins are known from a variety of fossil sites, primarily in Argentina and Brazil, with notable genera including Aeolosaurus, Gondwanatitan, and Piatnitzkysaurus.

These herbivores possessed a typical sauropod body plan, featuring a long neck and tail, a massive torso supported by sturdy limbs, and a small head. Their diet likely consisted of low-lying vegetation. The discovery of aeolosaurins has contributed significantly to our understanding of the diversity and distribution of titanosaurs in Gondwana during the final stages of the dinosaur era.

Fossil evidence suggests that aeolosaurins were part of a rich and varied ecosystem. Their remains are often found alongside other dinosaur groups, as well as evidence of ancient flora.
