Ablaktisztítás

Ablaktisztítás is the Hungarian term for window cleaning. It refers to the process of removing dirt, grime, and streaks from glass surfaces, typically windows and mirrors. Effective window cleaning is important for both aesthetic and functional reasons. Clean windows allow more natural light to enter a building, improving the indoor environment and potentially reducing the need for artificial lighting. They also contribute to the overall appearance of a property, both residential and commercial.

The process of ablaktisztítás generally involves several steps. First, loose debris such as dust and cobwebs are removed from the window frame and the glass surface. Then, a cleaning solution, often a mixture of water and a specialized window cleaner or a mild detergent, is applied to the glass. This is followed by wiping the glass with a squeegee, a tool with a rubber blade that is drawn across the surface to remove the cleaning solution and any dissolved dirt. For best results, the squeegee should be moved in overlapping strokes, and the blade wiped clean with a lint-free cloth after each stroke. Finally, the edges and corners of the window are often wiped with a dry cloth to prevent drips and streaks. Various tools and techniques can be employed depending on the size and accessibility of the windows, including extension poles for high windows and specialized microfiber cloths.
