Aanvalshelicopters

Aanvalshelicopters, or attack helicopters, are specialized military aircraft designed primarily for engaging enemy ground forces and lightly armored vehicles. They are equipped with a range of offensive weaponry, typically including autocannons, rockets, and guided missiles such as anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) and air-to-air missiles. Their design prioritizes maneuverability, speed, and the ability to operate in close proximity to the battlefield, providing close air support for ground troops.

These helicopters often feature advanced sensor systems, including infrared (IR) and electro-optical (EO) sights, which allow pilots to detect and track targets in various weather conditions and at night. Armor plating is often incorporated to provide protection against small arms fire and shrapnel.
