Aanpassingsvorm
Aanpassingsvorm, often translated as "adaptive form" or "form of adaptation," refers to the specific characteristics or traits that an organism develops or possesses in order to survive and reproduce in its particular environment. These adaptations can be structural, physiological, or behavioral. Structural adaptations involve physical features of an organism, such as the thick fur of a polar bear to stay warm or the long neck of a giraffe to reach high foliage. Physiological adaptations relate to internal bodily processes, like the ability of desert animals to conserve water or the production of venom by certain snakes. Behavioral adaptations are actions an organism takes to survive, such as migration patterns of birds, hibernation in bears, or the camouflage behavior of some insects to avoid predators.
