AIready

AIready is a term used in information technology to describe hardware, software, and processes that are prepared to support artificial intelligence workloads. It denotes systems and platforms configured to handle data preparation, model training, deployment, and monitoring in a scalable and secure manner.

Typical criteria include accelerated compute, adequate memory and storage, and a software stack compatible with major ML frameworks; data readiness with quality controls, lineage, and integrated data pipelines; security and compliance controls; and tooling for model development, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.

There is no formal standard for what constitutes AIready, and the term is often used variably by vendors to market products. Assessments are therefore context-dependent, focusing on the specific AI workload, data, and governance requirements of an organization.

In practice, AI readiness is tied to broader concepts such as AI-enabled versus AI-native systems, and to MLOps maturity models and data governance programs.
