ADAP

ADAP stands for AIDS Drug Assistance Program, a United States federally funded program designed to help people with HIV obtain life-saving medications when they lack adequate insurance or financial resources. It is a core component of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program and is administered at the federal level by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). State and local agencies then manage day-to-day operations, determine eligibility within federal guidelines, and oversee drug formularies.

ADAP serves individuals living with HIV who are uninsured or underinsured and who meet state-specific income and residency requirements. Services typically include access to antiretroviral therapy, medications for opportunistic infections, and related support such as case management, benefits counseling, and medication coordination.
