28355
28355 is the minor planet designation of a small asteroid residing in the main belt of the Solar System. The object was first observed on 12 November 2000 by the Lincoln Near‑Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) survey at the Lincoln Laboratory’s Experimental Test Site near Socorro, New Mexico. Its official designation, 28355 (2000 QY3), was assigned when its orbit was sufficiently well determined to allow a permanent number.
The asteroid follows an orbit with a semi‑major axis of approximately 2.54 astronomical units. Its orbital period
Spectroscopic measurements indicate that 28355 is a stony (S‑type) asteroid, consistent with many inner belt bodies.
