1Aseries

1Aseries is a family of compact consumer drones produced by Nebula Robotics. Launched in 2019, the line targets beginner and educational users, offering an affordable entry into aerial photography and programming.

Development began in 2017 as Nebula sought to combine ease of use with a modular platform. The first production launch, 1A1, emphasized portability and simplicity, with a foldable frame and a user-friendly mobile app. Subsequent models, 1A2 and 1A3, added higher-resolution cameras, improved stabilization, and optional obstacle avoidance. The 1A2 offers 2.7K video and longer flight time; the 1A3 provides 4K capture, longer-range transmission, and a modular payload rail for light sensors or action cameras. All models use brushless motors, GPS-based return-to-home, and automatic hover.

Design emphasizes modularity: swappable batteries, a USB-C interface for firmware updates, and an open software ecosystem for educational programming with a block-based API. Some bundles include curricula for classrooms.

Reception has been mixed. The 1Aseries is praised for affordability, portability, and beginner-friendly features, while critics point to modest flight times and limited professional-grade capabilities compared to higher-end drones.
