110fortynning

110fortynning is a Norwegian ski jumping hill located in Oslo, Norway. The hill was opened in 1968 and has undergone renovations throughout its history. The main feature of the hill is its size, measuring 100 meters in length and situated 110 meters above ground level, which is where it gets its name.

The design and construction of 110fortynning were influenced by traditional Norwegian ski jumping hills, with a focus on natural slope and modest modifications to the surroundings. The hill boasts a International Ski Federation (FIS) sanctioned K-100 jumping hill, one of ten similarly sanctioned hills in Norway.

Throughout its history, 110fortynning has hosted numerous national and international competitions, earning a reputation for hosting challenging and tricky jump evaluations. In 1991, the venue received a major upgrade with the establishment of the Nordic Ski Club and became a training facility for promising young jumpers.

Today, the hill continues to play an integral role in the Norwegian skiing community, functioning as both an international competition venue and a training facility for aspiring jumpers and beach jumpers. Several notable jumpers have trained and competed at 110fortynning, including Espen Lindquist and Kristoffer Halvorsen.

110fortynning has witnessed its fair share of breakthrough performances and, occasionally problems with visibility or traction. Managing wind factors has also been an ongoing issue; however, maintenance and training operations continue to ensure the best experience possible for competitors and participants alike.
