Ühtlustumist is the process of making something uniform by reducing variation in its form, content, or characteristics. In Estonian, the term comes from the verb ühtlustuma, meaning to become uniform, and ühtlustumist refers to the act or process of achieving uniformity. It is used across fields to describe efforts to obtain consistent properties within a system or product.

In manufacturing and processing, ühtlustumist often involves techniques that blend, mix, or homogenize components to achieve a uniform composition or appearance.
