Åtkomstnätet, also known as the access network or the last mile, is the part of a telecommunications network that connects end-users to the wider network infrastructure. It is the final segment of the network over which data and voice services are delivered to homes and businesses. This network is crucial for providing internet access, telephone services, and other communication capabilities to individual subscribers.

The technology used in an åtkomstnät can vary significantly. Historically, this included copper wire-based telephone lines, which were later upgraded to support DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) for broadband internet.
