Ändtarmsproblem, also known as rectal disorders, refer to various conditions affecting the rectum, the final segment of the large intestine. These issues can cause symptoms such as pain, bleeding, discomfort, and altered bowel habits. Common ändtarmsproblem include hemorrhoids, rectal fissures, abscesses, fistulas, and rectal prolapse.

Hemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels in the rectal region, often resulting from increased pressure due to straining, pregnancy, or chronic constipation. Rectal fissures are small tears or cuts in the lining of the anus, typically caused by hard or frequent bowel movements, leading to pain during defecation. Rectal prolapse occurs when the rectal tissue protrudes through the anal opening, which can be associated with weakness of the pelvic floor muscles and chronic constipation.

Preventive measures include a high-fiber diet, adequate hydration, regular exercise, and proper bowel habits to minimize straining and maintain rectal health.
