Állásfoglalásai (Hungarian for "employment commitments" or "job reservations") refers to the legal and administrative procedures in Hungary related to securing and formalizing employment relationships. This process involves both the employer and the employee, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

In Hungary, the process typically begins with an offer of employment, which may be made verbally or in writing. However, for clarity and legal protection, written agreements are strongly recommended. The employment contract must include essential details such as the job title, duties, working hours, salary, probation period (if applicable), and termination conditions. Probation periods are common and usually last up to three months, though this can vary depending on the position and company policy.

Once both parties agree, the employer must register the employment relationship with the Hungarian National Employment Office (Nemzeti Munkaerőpiari Hivatal, NMHH). This registration is mandatory and ensures that the employee is legally recognized as an employee, which affects social security contributions, tax obligations, and other labor-related benefits. The employer is also responsible for providing the employee with a written employment contract within a specified timeframe, usually within one month of starting work.

During the employment period, both parties must adhere to the terms outlined in the contract and Hungarian labor laws. Employees are entitled to various protections, including paid leave, sick leave, and protection against unfair dismissal. Employers, on the other hand, must follow procedures for termination, including providing notice periods and, in some cases, severance pay.
