zákazy

Zákazy is the Czech term for formal prohibitions issued by authorities to prevent certain actions, behaviors, or statuses. The plural form zakazy refers to multiple such prohibitions; the singular is zákaz. The word derives from the verb zakázat, meaning to prohibit, and is used across legal, regulatory, and public discourse to describe rules that restrict conduct.

Prohibitions are typically established by legal instruments such as statutes, administrative regulations, or executive orders, and enforced by police, regulators, or other authorities. They may be general, applying to broad populations, or specific, targeting particular activities or groups.
