Zeugite is a rare mineral with the chemical formula Mn2+(Mn3+,Fe3+)Si2O7(OH)2. It is a member of the pyroxenoid group and is characterized by its distinctive structure and composition. The name "zeugite" is derived from the Greek word "zeugnysthai," meaning "to be yoked together," referring to the way the silicate chains are linked in its crystal structure.
