Zespolem is a term used in speculative and theoretical discussions to denote a distributed, self-organizing ensemble of autonomous agents that functions as a single cohesive system. The concept draws on the Polish noun zespół, meaning ensemble or team, and is used metaphorically to describe coordinated collectives rather than a single device. In this sense, zespolem refers to how multiple parts interact to produce emergent behavior that cannot be attributed to any one component alone.

In a zespolem, individual units rely on local communication, simple rules, and shared objectives to achieve complex tasks. There is typically no central controller; instead, coordination emerges from the interactions among members. Variants of the idea emphasize different architectural choices, ranging from semi-decentralized designs with a lightweight coordinating layer to fully decentralized systems in which all units operate with equal authority.
