Zadelmakers are craftsmen who design, construct, and repair saddles and related leather equipment for horses. The term is used in Dutch-speaking regions, and the role covers a range of riding disciplines, including English and dressage saddles, jumping saddles, Western saddles, as well as bridles, girths, saddle pads, and other tack. Zadelmakers may create custom pieces or refurbish and adjust existing saddles to fit horse and rider.
