ylityöksi

Ylityöksi is a Finnish term referring to overtime work. It signifies hours worked beyond the employee's agreed-upon regular working hours. The regulations concerning ylityöksi are primarily governed by Finnish labor law, particularly the Working Time Act (Työaikalaki).

Finnish law sets limits on how much overtime an employee can be required to work. These limits are typically expressed on a daily, weekly, and yearly basis. For instance, there are restrictions on the number of overtime hours that can be worked in a single day and over a four-month period. Employers must generally obtain the employee's consent for ylityöksi, though collective agreements may stipulate otherwise.
