xelatex

older
TeX
packages

workflows
designed
for
pdfTeX
may
require
adjustments;
microtype
support
exists
but
is
more
limited
compared
with
pdfLaTeX.
XeLaTeX
is
commonly
used
alongside
editors
such
as
TeXShop,
TeXworks,
and
Overleaf.
