washlet
Washlet is a brand of advanced toilet seat with built-in bidet functions produced by the Japanese company Toto. The term has also become a generic descriptor for Toto's series of bidet seats, though other manufacturers produce similar products. A Washlet typically integrates a water spray nozzle, water heating, and a heated seat into a standard toilet. Common features include front and rear wash sprays, adjustable spray pressure and temperature, a self-cleaning nozzle, one or two spray modes, a heated seat, an air dryer, a deodorizer, and a wireless or wall-mounted remote control; some models add night lighting, auto lid opening, or sensor-activated operation. The device is designed to improve personal hygiene and reduce toilet paper use.
