Vrnjava is a former municipality in southeastern Serbia. It was created in 2007 and existed until it was absorbed into the municipality of Niš. Vrnjava covers an area of approximately 164.6 square kilometers and includes 11 settlements.

The terrain within the municipality is generally hilly and wooded, reflecting the larger region's transitional zone between the Balkan and Carpathian mountains. The settlement areas, however, tend to be more flat or gently sloping. Two countries lie along the border of Vrnjava: Bulgaria to the east and Kosovo to the southwest.

Vrnjava's economy and infrastructure were primarily established around agriculture and related industries, such as the production of tobacco and grain. Additionally, some craft industry and manufacturing activities occur within the area, primarily smaller-scale enterprises.

The population of Vrnjava after its creation was approximately 9,498 people, although some data from the 2011 Serbian Census reflects settlements that were removed in 2008 and transferred to adjacent municipalities. Most residents in this part of the region have traditional settler patterns, with a sealing of ethnic groups including Serbs, larger pockets of Gorans and Macedonians on the southwestern border with Kosovo.

Settlements in Vrnjava established foremost cultural organizations like cultural centers or library clubs, while retaining some basic property heritage through resident's people to hold legends on host springs.
