Composition and forms: Voiteita can be medicated or nonmedicated. Medicinal examples include corticosteroid ointments, antibiotics, and antifungals. Nonmedicated voiteita are used for moisturization and barrier protection. They are based on different bases, such as oil-rich ointment bases (for occlusion and longer-lasting effect) or water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions (creams) that are generally more spreadable.
