In practice, viilupinnoitteisia surfaces consist of natural wood veneers adhered to substrates such as plywood, medium-density fibreboard (MDF) or particleboard. Veneers may be cut by rotary cut, sliced or book-mmatched to achieve different grain patterns and visual effects. The veneer can be pre-finished or finished after bonding.
