The term is not tied to a single scholarly tradition and is commonly treated as a neologism in discussions of contemporary design, art, and cognitive experience. In these contexts, vihreyden is described as arising when environmental cues—such as proportion, rhythm, light, and material texture—are arranged to support slow, contemplative attention rather than quick assessment or action.
