Verluchting is a Dutch noun that denotes the act or result of making something lit or illuminated. It is formed from the verb verlichten (to light up) with the -ing suffix and is used in contexts where the emphasis is on the process and outcome of lighting. In contemporary standard Dutch, however, the more common term for this concept is verlichting.

In practice, verluchting appears mainly in older texts, specialized registers, or regional usage.
