Venäyttäminen, often translated as stretching, is a form of physical exercise aimed at improving flexibility and range of motion. It involves elongating muscles and connective tissues to their maximal length. This can be done statically, by holding a stretch for a period, or dynamically, by moving through a range of motion repeatedly.

The benefits of venäyttäminen are numerous. It can help prevent injuries by preparing muscles for activity and reducing stiffness. Regular stretching can also improve posture, relieve muscle tension, and alleviate pain, particularly in areas like the back and neck.
