Utdataprodukt, literally “output product” in some Scandinavian contexts, is a term used to describe a data artifact produced by information systems or data processing pipelines. It denotes the packaged result of data processing intended for external use, decision support, or downstream consumption. The term is not widely standardized in international data-management literature, but it appears in enterprise documentation and some data governance frameworks as a way to distinguish processed outputs from raw data and internal datasets.

A typical utdataprodukt has a defined schema or data model, accompanying metadata, provenance information (where the data came from and how it was transformed), versioning, data quality metrics, and documentation on usage, licensing, and access controls. It is designed to be consumable by downstream systems or users, often packaged as a structured file, a data service, or an API endpoint.

Creation occurs in ETL/ELT pipelines, with validation, testing, and approval before distribution.
